It’s been a long, hard road, but one that’s well worth the effort.  We need to keep the focus on our residents at McFadden and our need to keep them in their home.  We can’t let our defenses down.  We have to be vocal and keep the focus on McFadden.  Call the Mayor and the City Council.  Reiterate your concern for our loved ones.  Tell them McFadden must remain open.

Our next meeting will be Monday, April 7 at 6:30PM.  Hopefully we will have some good news on progess made.  Thank you for your support! 

It’s been one week since the city council meeting…although we made some progress, it’s important to remember that we must keep the pressure on with all city council members and the mayor.  They can’t think we are taking a “let’s see what happens” attitude.  Call your councilors and the mayor.  Let them know how important it is to keep our seniors and disabled in their home. 

We will meet on Monday, March 24 at 6:30PM at McFadden.  We will be looking to you for ideas and support how to get even more citizens involved in our quest.  Don’t let our McFadden residents down.  If you can’t make the meeting, or have a great idea that can’t wait, email us at friendsofmcfadden@verizon.net or leave us a message at 781-324-1700.  We need each and every one of you to stay vocal and show your support.  Many thanks for your efforts.

Our heartfelt thanks for all of you who came out in the rain and joined us at the city council meeting on March 4 2008.  It was a long time coming and we are optimistic that there may be a ray of sunshine.  Let’s keep up the phone calls and letters to the Mayor, Board of Health and City Council.  We need to keep our loved ones in their home.
