The dedication of the new Malden Senior Center is Saturday, January24 at 1:00PM.   The center is being named after Congressman Markey’s parents, so he will be there for the dedication.  Congressman Markey is the Secretary of Elder Affairs.  This is a good opportunity to speak with the Congressman about the Geriatric Authority of Malden and McFadden Manor and our need for financial assistance.  Under the new stimulus plan, money has been earmarked to support employee pay and benefits.  We can definitely use this for McFadden Memorial Manor. 

Let’s get the word out McFadden Manor needs financial assistance to get us on our feet under the new Geriatric Authority.   Many of the City and State public officials are expected to attend the dedication.  This is a great opportunity to remind them we need their support to identify and procure any potential funds/grants/donations for the Geriatric Authority.  So get all your family members and friends to attend the dedication.  They will not only be supporting our Seniors but can use the opportunity to keep our needs in the forefront of our public officials in these difficult economic times.  There are so many groups and individuals that need financial support.  Let’s try to do what we can to get donations and grants for McFadden Manor!  Thank you!
